Paul Haggis Vs. the Church of Scientology – From The New Yorker by Lawrence Wright. $10 bucks says Wright expands this to a book. Paul Haggis is a writer/director who at this time is now the highest profile scientologist to defect. The Incredible True Story of the Collar Bomb Heist – From Wired by Rich Schapiro.
An article recounting a (rather botched) bank heist in my hometown of Erie, PA that became our city’s most famous crime. With several participants in this case dead, it may stay one of the great mysterious true crime legends.
4 Wal-Mart Employees Fired After Disarming Gunman – Apparently Wal-Mart can fire you for bravery and heroism.
The last few records I downloaded:
- Bright Eyes – The People’s Key
- Okkervil River – Mermaid Single
- Johnny Cash – Any Old Wind that Blows

A few weeks ago I watched through all of the short-lived Dana Carvey Show. If you haven’t ever seen it, check it out as it’s one of the funniest sketch shows ever featuring the first TV jobs for Steve Carrell and Stephen Colbert. It appears you can watch all 8 episodes on youtube.
